Switching between hot and cold sensations supports the immune system and is key to healthy sauna bathing and sauna culture. There is sweating, and then there is sweating. Modern sauna-goers might want to experience tranquility, but at the same time be social. This might sound like a paradox – but it is quite popular. Share some quality time with your best friend – for that you need the perfect atmosphere. You need areas that emanate individuality and variation, tranquility and spaciousness. That’s the sort of areas we offer in our sauna world of Toskana Therme.
Saunas
Finnish sauna
Spacious Finnish sauna with a room temperature of 90°C (194°F), humidity of 8 – 12 % and hourly pouring of water over the heated rocks, recommended duration of use 15 minutes.
Organic sauna
Mild and soft sauna with 55°C (131°F), humidity of 40% and fragrances, lights and sounds, recommended duration of use 15 – 30 minutes.
Steam bath
Steam bath with discreet light and a temperature of 43°C (109°F), humidity of 100%, fragrances and colorful lights – starry sky, recommended duration of use 10 – 15 minutes.
Lektarium
Reading sauna with 45°C and humidity of 40 – 50 % as well as reading lamps and rack with newspapers, magazines and books which you can browse on the warm benches accompanied by fragrances, lights and sound, recommended duration of use 30 minutes.
- TIP: Every last Sunday of the month, the lektarium hosts the popular „literary sauna“.
Broncharium
30°C (86°F) room temperature, humidity of 40 – 50 % light installation and spraying of dry brine for the respiratory system and bronchia, recommended duration of use unlimited, be careful if you suffer from asthma or respiratory diseases.
Panorama sauna
Outdoor sauna with 90°C (194°F), humidity of 8 – 12 %, view of the historic graduation house and hourly pouring of water over the heated rocks.
Brine grotto
Outdoor sauna with 35°C (95°F), humidity of 40 – 50 %, spraying of brine and view of the sauna garden.
Quiet areas
Snooze in a spacious panorama relaxation room and a tranquil spa bedroom . The lounge with its flickering gel fireplace and quiet areas with cushions is a popular meeting place. When the sun is shining, you can enjoy the comfortable loungers in our garden.Cooling down
There are a number of possibilities to cool yourself down: shower sensation, crushed ice well, bucket, Kneipp hose and plunge pool.
