Switching between hot and cold sensations supports the immune system and is key to healthy sauna bathing and sauna culture. There is sweating, and then there is sweating. Modern sauna-goers might want to experience tranquility, but at the same time be social. This might sound like a paradox – but it is quite popular. Share some quality time with your best friend – for that you need the perfect atmosphere. You need areas that emanate individuality and variation, tranquility and spaciousness..
That’s the sort of areas we offer in our sauna world of Toskana Therme.

Saunas

Laconium

Take the sauna like the old Greeks: the air is heated to 55°C (131 °F) via radiant heat. With its oriental appeal, the Laconium is the perfect place for timeless dwelling.

  • Hint: Every last Sunday of the month, the Laconium hosts the popular „literary sauna“

Cistern

Sauna fans are welcome to sit on the integrated bench. The bath with radiant heat brings the room temperature up to 65°C (149°F). A pleasant deep heat flows through the whole body.

 

Herbal bath

The sauna oven is at the center of this room.  Heating the herbal water raises the temperature to 65°C (149°F) and increases humidity for a pleasant effect.

 

Sweat room

In this classic sauna room with cozy tile stove our guests enjoy the snug comfort of a sauna at 96°C (205°C).

 

Ore sauna

Special experience with heat, steam and traditional slate ambience at 65°C (149°F). Centerpiece is the sauna oven with its special automatic program utilizing mineral rocks and steam.

 

Panorama sauna

Panorama sauna with benchens made of natural wood. Enjoy a pleasant view of river Elbe while sweating at 90°C (194°F)

Quiet areas

Relax in our quiet areas – outdoor on our lawn, indoors on the upper floor or with a view of the sauna garden and two large loungers.

Cooling down

There are a number of possibilities to cool yourself down: crushed ice well, shower sensation, whirlpool for the feet and Kneipp stream including five sections of different temperature to stride through.  A cold water pool and a Kneipp pool for treading water are available in the sauna garden.
